Is Quake Team Arena for the Mac currently available? I've downloaded the demo and hunted around the quake3world.com website but I can't find any indication that the release version is out.

Or can we just buy the PC version of Team Arena and use a Mac executable to interpret the files, in the same way the the Q3A point release allowed one to use datafiles off the PC edition?

I bought the pc version of team arena and it works fine.

Just drag and drop the missionpack and baseq3 folders from the cd onto your quake 3 folder.

Then when you load up quake 3 as per normal, youll have a team arena option int he quake 3 menu. Select it, and team arena opens with its own interface. Very nice.

Please note - you must have the latest version of quake 3 installed, and youll want the ra3 mod as well, so download it as most of the team arena servers are ra3 as well.

Thanks for the help -- the PC version of Team Arena is going for a good price at my local game store, and I'll pick it up later this week.

Being the ignorant soul that I am, what is Ra3?
