I downloaded and tried the OSX version of Oni.

I am pleasantly surprised. It actually runs noticably faster and crisper on my 500 Mhz G4 under OSX than it did under OS9. Kudos to the developers!

i've been using the beta of Oni X, and i too downloaded the new release. it is noticibly faster than the beta. and it seems a lot faster than it is on 9. i'm running a G4 450. there is one problem i have with it (this problem was also in the beta): after playing Oni X, the mouse tracking speed ends up being reset to a slow setting, and i have to go back to system preferences to speed it up. does anyone else have this problem?

well, i just tried out the latest Oni X build (v1.33) available here:
http://www.omnigroup.com/games/oni

and i actually have better results with the last build v1.31. still have the same mouse problems (mouse tracking speed doesn't return to previous setting after quitting game) even though omnigroup lists that as a problem they fixed with the latest build. also, the game seems to freeze at certain points, and when it freezes, the music stops and i hear various audio clicks coming from my speakers. at that point, i have to manually shut down the computer, as it is totally frozen.

to make sure it's not a fluke, i tried playing the same level [Atmospheric Conversion Center (exterior) Save point 3] with both v1.31 and v1.33. the freezing and audio clicks occur in v1.33, but not at all in v1.31.

just a note for people who are thinking of using this build...

Yeap, same as yours, but with different games. Quake 3 for sure and maybe elite force, I don't remember for sure, but I'm sure it happen often when playing full screen Open GL games in OS X.

Maybe someone knows more about this bug, causes or fixes?

Everyone has these small problems with their games, as I am having huge problems with Quake II. These are all common bugs, and hopefully new versions of the game's update will be the right one for your computer.
