Umm…I bought Driver and there's no need for a no CD patch. Just by it. It's worth it.

I read once on the macaddict forums that you can make a mountable compressed image of the CD with DiskCopy and store it on the HD. When needed, just mount it. My Unreal loads lots faster now 
Of course if the CD is needed for audio tracks, this probably won't work.
