Well i downloaded the Cro Mag Rally Demo and played it with my 6MB ATi Rage IIc.

Performance was sub-par and barely playable. Oddly though i ended up coming in 2nd on my first attempt and 1st on my second attempt.

I have no way of getting framerates with the ATi chip, but i can assure you that they were in the single digit range. Based on that assement, i would not have bought the full version.

Then for kicks and giggles i put the 3dfx OpenGL extension in my System folder and fired the game back up.
Much to my surprise the extension worked and i was soon zooming around using the Voodoo II card. MUCH more playable....steering was more or less in sync with my key strokes and frame rates were at least 17fps if not higher. Now that i know that i can actually play this game decently i will consider buying the full version. I love it, it reminds me of Mario Kart.

So there you have it, Cro Mag Rally and the GameWizard do get along if you have the 3dfx OpenGL extension.

If you need it, you can get it from Xyber233's public folder on his iDisk.

Thanks Xyber
