Okay, I figured how to get the console (use the ~) but how can we enable the cheats for the game like on the PC side? While the game is nice to be shot at, sometimes you just wanna 'let loose' and damn the rules of the game.
Thanks for any guidance here!

i'm sure there's other ways to do this, but here's what works for me:
-create a text file
in this text file put the following
set sv_cheats 1
save the text file (just some name like untitled.txt). make sure it is a text file format, and not an rtf or anything. you might have to do this in word, because usually textedit makes an rtf.
-rename the text file to
user.cfg
-place this file into the Main folder of RtCW.
to enable, start the game. pick a save point, any save point and load it up. once it loads up and you are playing, quit that game and go back to the main menu. now load up the save point you want to play, and once that loads up, the cheats should be enabled. go to the console and try out the commands. here are a few:
/god God mode "Immortal"
/notarget Enemies dont attack
/noclip No clipping mode "fly around mode"
/give all Get all weapons and ammo
/mapname Get the current map name
/give 9mm Gives 9mm Bullets
/give health xxxx Gives Health xxxx is the amount of health
/give dynamite Give Dynamite
/give armor xxxx Gives Armor xxxx iis the amount of armor
/give stamina
/spdevmap mapname Jump to mapname
like i said, this method works for me, i'm sure other people do it some other way.
yeah, it's pretty cool when you have an unlimited amount of rockets.

You can also hold down the shift key when starting the game, and in the window that opens type
set sv_cheats 1
Then use those other cheats as the mood hits you in-game.
For me, I use god mode to get through the parts I consider dull (zombies zombies everywhere), then go back to "regular" mode for the interesting bits (battles against humans and more "realistic" scenarios).
Just my particular kink, I suppose.....

You can also modify the MacWolfParms.txt file by adding the following line:
set sv_cheats 1
From the readme.txt file that came with RtCW:
"5. MacWolfParms.txt & the command line:
==============================================
If a file named MacWolfParms.txt is present in the same folder as the game applications the contents of it are treated the same as if they were command line parameters. Additionally, if you hold down the shift key while the game is launching and a dialog box will appear that also takes command line parameters.
You do not need to include a "+" in front of each set command. Either approaches are the only way to enable cheating in the single player game."

Anyone had luck with these? I've tried every method listed here and none of them work. I just keep getting the "cheats are not enabled on this server" message. Anyone have any ideas?

wait a sec, are you trying to enable cheats when playing a multiplayer game? i think you can only do this if you are running the server. the cheat activation methods here work when you're playing single player.

Nope, single player. I've tried them all and none work here. I don't think I'm missing anything but I could be. LOL
I guess I could try reinstalling, see if that halps.

I have not tried any of the above suggestions,
but what did work for me was if I loaded a level through the command line
/spdevmap mapname
then when the map loaded
/sv_cheats 1
/god
/give all
etc..

The method I posted worked for me. Make sure that you don't have a return after the 1.

Thanks Corys, it worked.
a2daj, I did try that, single line like you said and it didn't work. Was your MacWolfParms.txt file completely blank until you put that line in?

Yup. It was completely empty at the time.
In my MacWolfParams.txt file I currently have one line in there with no carriage return after the 1:
set sv_cheats 1
Cheats work fine in OS 9 and OS X.
