As far as I know, anything resembling a console has been removed from this game, so it's not an easy matter. There is a long, complicated process involved in order to get cheats to work that MAY also work to be able to read FPS, but any saved games affected by your measurement will then be branded as 'cheat-enabled'. Since Deus Ex is an Unreal Tournament-based game, then framerates will be almost identical in the two games (on indoor levels, anyway). If you have UT, then there is your easy answer. If you don't want to do a lot of hacking around and don't have UT, there is no easy answer. If you DO want to hack around, then please tell me and I'll try to find or remember where the instructions on cheating are.

This is what I found out:

In your Deus Ex folder edit the user.ini file with simple text. Look where the file names what keys do what. Find where it say the Tilde key. Type "talk"(no quotes). Then while playing type ~(tilde) then erase where It says "Say". Type "Preference(s)"(no quotes). Then you will get an advanced menu. For what some of this means go here... http://www.tweak3d.net/tweak/deus-ex/
i know that this is a PC side but some of this might work for the mac. For information on console commands go here... http://unreal.epicgames.com/UTConsole.htm
This is for UT. BUT I am certain alot of these commands will work because the programmers did not change the console...too much.
Through all this information I still can't see where to get the frames per second!
