You can pre order ATI's Radeon video card from CDW at http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/def...sp?EDC=241313. It cost $ 248 + S&H

Actually you can pre-order for a better price through CDW by using the exclusive deal at http://www.dealnn.com

Is $250 the trade-in price, or is it the street price? If they knocked off 50-75 for trading in a piece of sh!t RAGE 128, that would be a sweet deal!

http://www.xlr8yourmac had a featured site that offered pre-order Radeons for 'bout US$235 or so...and that is not the trade-in price. Also, Outpost has a link to US$30 Radeon rebate that should apply to ALL Radeon purchases since it was offered by ATI, which ends Sept. 30... http://image.outpost.com/art/rebates_pdf/69751.pdf

I believe the PCI version will be out in November.

no, ATI has the best hardware for DVD playback, and has the ONLY software for DVD playback on the Mac last time I checked... especially that 3Dfx isn't offering DVD-decoding with their Mac version of V5/V4...
