Seybold, but still no RADEON. Anyone know what's up? I know you can pre-order AGP RADEON cards now, but could the hold-up for BTO RADEON be due to poor drivers? What is more likely, driver issues or Steve Jobs issues? I don't want to preorder it and then find out its a dog because the drivers are crap.

lol because Radeon was never scheduled to be out for Macs 'til September. Outpost said they are expecting it on August 31, which is highly unlikely. Another source said Sept 9th, and I'm not holding my breath for that...

If you don't get the Radeon BTO by MacWorld Paris, then start worrying, in the mean time, chill.
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...

At least you can do something about RAM. I pray that the drivers aren't total dogsh!t. For all we know, Jobs won't even put RADEON in macs BTO...it wouldn't surprise me.

I don't think you can do anything with the RAM, or people with iMacs wouldn't be so vocal about the issue (well, OK, a few people with iMacs). As for the Radeon, I suspect Apple will have no choice but to package it standard with new Power Macs, as the RAGE 128 will no doubt soon reach its end-of-life. Unless Apple picks another OEM partner (which would really disappoint people in here ), that is...
