I have Starcraft Carbon and use a Wacom Tablet, I only use the mouse for gameing. I can't get the right button of the mouse to be the options button in Starcraft. It will work great and be the happy little options button taht is should be outside the game but in Starcraft it just won't work. I already installed the driver and tried to find a setting somewhere in it and found that they were set correctley. Then I opened starcraft and found that they diden't have any options or help on using a mac two button mouse. If anyone could help me their imput would be greatley appreaciated.

If you hold down "option" or "alt" (depending on your keyboard) when you start SC, you should see an window pop up.

Click on the "advanced" tab and see if you can select the "multi-button"-thing.

Personally, I can't select it, but I suspect that is due to the fact that I dont have a multi-button mouse...yeah, that makes sense

You can also do this: hold down the command key when clicking, that will act as a right mouse click. Beyond that, in the option dialogue box the multi-button mouse option should work for you. I've never heard of it not working. Maybe get USB overdrive to fix your problems.

What mouse do you have?

D'oh! Starcraft Carbon...

Anyways, Starcraft Carbon has no multi button mouse option. If your right click is supported by OS X, it should work.

I have Carbon version of starcraft because I use OS X and my right button works in OS X just fine. Only in Starcraft does it not work. I have a Wacom Tablet, it comes with a wireless mouse. I dont know how it works, it isent optical or have a ball. Anyaway because the mouse works outside starcraft it probably isent my USB drivers, its probably Starcraft. Does anyone use a two button mouse in the carbon version of Staracraft? Any soloution would be great!

I have a M$ Optical Intelli-Eye something-or-other crap mouse.

The right click works fine for me in SC/BW. In starcraft the right click does not open up a contextual menu etc it performs functions depending on unit selected. If you have a probe selected, right clicking on the minerals will make it mine that mineral, right clicking on open space moves the probe to that point, right clicking on a gas refinery makes the probe mine gas.

As mentioned above, holding "apple"+"left click" does the same thing as "right click".

So I guess it depends on what type you have and whether "right click" is supported by the default OSX driver.

The first version of starcraft has the "configure mouse" button available. It disapeared after the second or third upgrade of the game and I was disapointed also. I do however have a wireless Logitech 2 button mouse with scroll wheel and it works just fine when I right click objects. Great for telling my carriers wher eto slam fest next at.
