I just bought an iMac DV and I'm having a few problems with Unreal. The biggest problem is that I can't control the brightness controls. The display is set at the darkest setting and can't be lightened dring the pregame setup or in game. It works fine on my 7600. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jim

Welcome to Unreal and Unreal Tournment on Imac DV, the issues lies with the tube itself, try plugging in an external monitor and see the level of brightness change....Sorry dude, even with the brightest settings, it still will be darker than any other monitor....mind you we did bust inside our machine(I work @ an apple reseller)and crank the brightness. Might be worth a gander

chipper regards

Actually, I figured out how to do it.

I toogled out of Full screen mode. Doing so will allow you to access the menu items (which aren't available in Full Screen mode).

Go to Options. Select Advanced Options. Afer screwing around in Displays for a bit, I found that if you turn Nolighting to Yes then you can get a wide range of brightness settings from very dark to very light.
