all i have been doing in the rebel storyline is running stupid food and equiptment missions, and i am getting sick of them (yeah, ran them atleast a dozen times apiece) being bored, i started destroying fed starships (hell i even have one as a escort now). is this why im not getting promoted?

There's someone in my head but its not me...

You need to go to the rebel bases to get further missions. Try the main base (Rebel I, IIRC).

The only way in which attacking fed ships could be detrimental to your prospects with the rebels is if you do it in the system where you get those delivery missions. The planet is in a federation world, and if you get banned as an outlaw, you can't land on the rebel planet either (probably a bug).

Oh, yeah. That pesky dead-end. I solved it the easy way. I hacked the planet.

Made it so the planet would let me land no matter HOW wanted I was in the Federation, and I think I tweaked the mission so it would appear 100% of the time once the right bits are set. Hopefully, it'll be tweaked in an update, as it seems to be a rather obnoxious bug.
