minimum spec is listed as:

System Requirements
-----------------------------------------
Minimum Configuration (under Mac OS 8 or 9):
• Mac OS 8.6
• PowerPC processor running at 333 MHz
• 128 MB RAM (with virtual memory set to at least 256 MB)
• 750 MB free hard disk space (standard install)
• 4x CD-ROM drive
• 8 MB 3D graphics accelerator (OpenGL compatible)
• OpenGL 1.2
• CarbonLib 1.4
• Keyboard & mouse

Recommended Configuration (under Mac OS 8 or 9):
• Mac OS 9.1 or later
• PowerPC processor running at 500 MHz or faster
• 256 MB RAM
• 1 GB free hard disk space (full install)
• 24x CD-ROM drive
• 32 MB 3D graphics accelerator (OpenGL compatible)
• Latest version of OpenGL
• Latest version of CarbonLib
• Keyboard & multi-button mouse

Minimum Configuration (under Mac OS X):
• Mac OS X 10.1
• PowerPC processor running at 500 MHz or faster
• 128 MB RAM
• 750 MB free hard disk space (standard install)
• 4x CD-ROM drive
• 16 MB 3D graphics accelerator (OpenGL compatible)
• OpenGL 1.2.1
• Latest version of CarbonLib
• Keyboard & mouse
...so I guess it depends what system you're running. Having said that, it just says 'PowerPC' processor and doesn't specify G3 or G4... you'll probably be OK but want to turn down some of the graphic options in the game...

What's your video card?
That'll really be the determining factor -- a Rage 128 Pro would be iffy (go for 640x480, low quality), a GF2MX would be ok, and a Radeon or GF3/4 would be totally playable.

I run it on my DP450 with a 32MB Radeon under OS X, and it runs quite smoothly (don't know if it uses both procs, but since the speed difference between X and 9 is so pronounced, as in it's faster on X, it must to some extent).

I know a Radeon is better than a GF2 for B&W because performance under X on my new iMac G4/700 with a GF2 is somewhat worse than the DP450.
Be happy.

No problem. I'm using a 400MHZ Yikes G4 with 800 megs of memory. Works great.
