I saw that World War 2 online is being released for the Mac July 10th.
Has anyone played it on a pc? Do you feel it is as good as Unreal Tournament? I was hoping to get some input as I am anxious to try something new.
Thanks.

This game is extremely slow and buggy. I really don't epxect any Mac to get more than 10fps. I am serious (not trolling). This game has great promise but it's a total resource hog.

Make sure you have at least 512mg ram to play

nonono. it is mostly because of the graphic card drivers.
You need:
at least 512 MB RAM (yeah!)
32 MB VRam graphics card, so geforce 2 mx or radeon ( ( )
G3 (yeah!)
1gig HD (yeah!!)

I need a better graphic card, rest is very ok...
the port is very good as I heard, so let's see how it goes

The delayed release of the Mac version will at least ensure that it will be a little less buggy than the PC release...but still, be prepared to download many, many patches and fixed before the game runs as it should. Word is it was released WAY to soon for our PC friends.

I've chatted with people on the official forums with 450 PIII with Riva 128s (8 Meg card) They get 25 FPS.... Voodoos don't work too well with this game... I've got a lot of RAM, and with the new update they are improving requirements (less memory usage, not loading unused textures, and other fun like that). It will run well just give them some time; it's an amazing game. In a month all the glitches will be out, no reason to worry. It's not a bad port, they NEED Mac users to add to there users. Just try it out... or find somebody who has it and look at it. BTW it's at least 400 G4, and in interviews they said it could be done with the Slot iMac cards (128s)....
