Well, mac UT players, the Tactical Ops 2.0b mod is now out!

It features completely new maps, new guns and new skins.
It's a 104MB download (either the UMOD or the Mac Installer), and the servers are quite busy right now. More when I can find a slot on one ;-)

Oh, such perfect timing

I'm back to work after my summer vacation on monday, our labs have plenty of room for, say, a dozen players and the GeForce 2's/Radeons in the Macs/PCs aren't totally old gear yet.

It's just great!
Lot's of new weapons and maps.
Now terrorists and special forces have different weapons to buy. But you can still use the other weapons when you get one.
The new weapons are cool, a combined mg/grenadlauncher is one of them ;-), and look better. Most of the old ones were remodeled and look more realistic now (as much as I can tell).
The new maps now have better tasks for each group. Not only hotages rescuing. The bots semms to be a bit more intelligent but are still very dump. If you have a fast connection the download is it worth.
