Hmm....how come I can't map the F1-F4 buttons to preform "actions" (like changing spells, etc) on my beige g3 (it has an adb keyboard). Is it a bug? (Or maybe it's a feature

The manual says I can, but I can't.....the F5-F8 buttons work...but they are so far away from where I want to have my hand (I always keep my hand at the left most side of the keyboard).

Hmm...I just come up with the idea to check the keyboard bindings in the options menu...hmm...I gotta try that when I get home, but in the meantime, IF this is something other people know about, can you help me out? Please...?

Btw, I'm running MacOS 9.04 and I have the 1.03b patch (the 1.03c does't patch anything that has to do with my comp)

Also, one more question. Are there any other people out there who are running d2 on a *6 MB* VRAM Rage Pro card? I'm running it in RAVE mode and it can get a bit choppy at times. Has anyone tried playing around with the diffrent settings and gotten any nice results?

Perspective, the shadow thing and the lighting thing are all turned off (thousands of colors, sound and music on), but when I run around in hell and fight enemies it (the game) slows to a crawl sometimes...(read: most of the time)

don't know about keyboard issues... but definitely turn off the music and sound. that will help a lot. supposedly the 1.03c patch had nothing for my machine ( G4/350 | 320MB RAM | 9.0.4 ) either, but I installed it and it seemed to help with the choppy performance. good luck.

If you have the room on your hard drive put the music files on as well.
Also if you can find it, the no cd patch will make the game a great deal smoother.

Sure I have the space to copy the music files, but that would only be an option if I wanted to listen to the music, right

Anyways, I like the music so I will probably try it. But is it really playing music from the cd a reason for the slowdown? I thought it was my crappy gfx card...

The "no cd patch" (that sounds as a illegal crack to me...) would be pretty useless if I either turned of the music or just copied the music files to my hd, wouldn't it? :/

I tried remapping the "skill buttons" (the ones mapped to the "F"-buttons by default and it worked ok, so I think I will get by. BUT I still think there's a bug here....because I can't use the F1-F4 buttons and I should be able to use them, at least according to the game....

Isn't there ANYONE here that has the beige g3 with a adb keyboard and D2 that can verify to see if it's just my comp or the game itself?? Pleeaassse..?
