Anyone heard any info about this game coming to the Mac? I've got a lan connection at work, so I've been pulling down movies galore of the game's designer giving a demo, and it looks incredible. Go ahead. Give me the good news.

A certain publisher has a preliminary agreement in place to port the title to the Mac and publish it, but they're unable to announce anything officially right now. Needless to say, the title is a revolutionary one and Mac game publishers would be kicking themselves for at least a few months if they didn't pursue it.

I would like to add that I, too, will be kicking said game publishers for as many months if they don't pursue porting Black & White. Would you hazard to guess that there's any chance of seeing it in 2001?

Probably. Lionhead has kept portability in mind frm the beginning of the project so I doubt they made very many things difficult in porting to a variety of platforms.

Yeah, I watched all (what like 13 videos?) of the movies from PCgn (I think)...
I have wanted this game for a LONG time, and I have been hearing rumors of its possible port to the Mac side. Looking at the exceptional success of "The Sims", one cannot help but imagine a God Game in which not only is the graphics top notch realism, but is truly an interactive game that adapts to you.
Just learning what the AI does by *itself* makes me need a change of underwear....

Anyway, if I had to say someone was going to port it, my first guess would be Westlake, but then again, who knows? Except the lucky few with the NDAs........

Our good buddies over @ Lao-Tzu recently caught up with the infamous Mr. Jamie Durrant, and poked and proded until he told all! (Kinda...) Here's what the man had to say:
Jamie: ok.. we've signed a deal with some mac developers.. but only a week or so ago.
Jamie: I think the developers will make an announcement when they are ready to.
Good news for all you Mac fans out there. We'll keep the news on this comin' when there's more to be had.
The angel now has spread its wings. The time has come for better things.

Gladness, gladness. Joy everlasting upon their hearts shall be..
