Ahoy mates, for some odd reason I cannot get diablo II to work correctly on my g4 733. I have turned off extensions\reinstalled os9
yet everytime I try to play the darn thing the movement will become
very jerky lock up and then give me an error 2. Ive got plenty of ram and have even allocated more to the game in case it was a memory issue yet it still wont work. Anyways some ideas would be great.

when I get deppresed, I take a little pill, and I cheer up again.

I have the same problem on my B&W G3.
I think it is a bug with Diablo.
Nothing you can do but hope for an update.
I'm assuming you have D2x.
It's really buggy.

Try running it in software mode. Yeah, I know, you shouldn't HAVE to, but it does work pretty well on my G4/533 in software.

If you're playing D2 online the jerkiness might be from lag of your internet connection. Error type 2 is a bad memory issue. Try heading to blizzard's website and downloading the latest patch if you haven't already. I've heard rumors of a new one coming out within the next few weeks... but we'll have to see about that one. Or if a friend of yours has the expansion and you don't, just ask to borrow the cd real fast, install it, and see if that could fix the bugs. You could still play the original D2 without requiring the expansion cd. Good luck to you, and if all else fails email blizzard macsupport with your problem.

One tip. Keep the memory allocation to the default setting. When DII needs more RAM it uses the system heap, so the default memory allocation should stay the say.
Are you using a GeForce card? Make sure you run it in software mode.

I've been playing Diablo II since last summer and for me, it is one of the most stable games I've played. Once in a game, I can play for hours and hours without any problems. When connecting Battle.net... that's a whole different story.

Problem with the nVidia card?
DII and LOD run fine on my box.
It locked on me once, yesterday. Only instance since I started with DII the day it came out.
If you get LOD, log on to battlenet for an update, or it will erase your character instead of converting it.
Think about adding a Radeon PCI and a second monitor and play thru the Radeon.
Dual monitors kick ass anyhow....

If you're getting the error where it quits on you because it "doesn't have enough memory" replace your diablo 2 discs.... all 3 of them... i had the same problem and I conteacted tech support and this is what they told me to do. And everything works fine now. I'm about to go against Duriel....

I put a V-TECH sticker on my iMac DV 400 and i'm burnin' Geo Metro's left and right.
