Emulating PC game: Monkey Island 3

Machine: G3/400/VPC4/Win98
Runs fast enough, but two minor problems are: Sometimes the graphics are only updated where animation is.
The cursor isn't working in the first 10-15 lines (hangs, weird). Graphics there are also not updated. Sound & game itself are very good.
Anyone played MI3 too? Ideas?
