Hey all...here's my question - how many of you have PS2s? I can't decide if I want to pick up Oni on for my G4 or the PS2...I found the controls for the computer a bit overwhelming and I was thinking that the console offering may have a bit better interface. Any oppinions would be great!

Thanks,

Josh

I'll admit I don't have a PS2, and only messed around a small bit with ONI on a G4 Cube. What a friend and I thought though to make it smoother and easier on it was to get ahold of a two button mouse so that the punches and kics were both on the mouse rather than split on the mouse and keyboard. Guess it comes down to preference though <shrug>.

Well, you could always get a game controller so that your Mac will act just like a game console. Trust me, it's well worth it, and makes your games so much more exciting.

Just a suggestion

Personally, I dislike console controllers.

Especially for games like Oni...how will they have the rotation around Konoko while fighting???? On the computer you can both kick and hit and move your view all with a 2-button mouse, and then use key combos for anything else. It works out very, very well....

If you're really comfortable with the Dual Shock for the PS2 then buy a MacAlly iShock for your Mac. It's very similar in design and a nice gamepad overall.

I tried Oni on a G4/400/128MB/ATi Rage 128 Pro system at 1024x768 @ 32-bit setting. Gameplay was superb! The Radeon would have done better, though.

I don't have a PS2, and most likely will not. The keyboard suits me fine.
