No, I'm pretty sure that Fox is still testing and trying to eliminate every single-player and network bug before release. But certainly every day without a new confirmation from the company that they're still planning to release it means that it could be axed even though it's basically complete.

Maybe the money generated from the success of NOLF will help maintain the plan to go ahead and release of the Mac version of AvP Gold.

Last I heard is that AvP is FINISHED. However, it's heldup by some legal issue. Here's a link: http://www.insidemacgames.com/featur...s2000/p2.shtml
Scroll to the bottom of the page about Fox Interactive. I would post it here, but I don't want to get a legal battle myself. . .

I remember a while ago, when I read Heineman's proud report that he had figured out how to make Macs work with DirectPlay. I was pretty surprised, especially since I didn't see how Microsoft would let him get away with it. I wish I had been wrong, but it looks like that's what happened. Apparently Microsoft won't let the Mac AvP be released because it infringes on their copyrights, or something like that.

WTF is wrong w/ Microshaft? Why would they be so concerned about one little game? Maybe because it will establisha legal precedent that might be used against them if they really have to sue somebody. But still, can't they just make an exception for one little game? And didn't Gates invest a significant portion of money back when Jobs came back? He has at least some stake in Apple, so he should be helping out. Not screwing us over.
