Sure, cool graphics are nice when playing singel player. But In multiplayer performance suffer and I was wondering if it would be possible to make an app (or edit preferences somehow..) so the graphics would be turned down pretty extreme. Such as a tweeked Q3 config.. Think it would be possible?

This would be really nice! It's barely playable on my TiG4 400mhz 512mb, even in OS 9 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Did you guys think of going to Options->Video and turniong everything to low and using a lower resolution?
I've heard things like that turn off all those nice graphics.

It's playable for me on my iBook 466, 320MBs of RAM... Sure scrolling is laggy, but I can definitely put up with it.

What do you mean BARELY playable? I'm use a (mostly) stock Cube only upgrades are upped ram to 448 megs, and it plays just fine. Sure, it slows don a little in huge melees, even starcraft does that, but it's decent if I keep all the video settings low.

What I meant was ugly beyond the lowest graphic settings. Even if you set textures to low, they are still pretty detailed. When I mean ugly I mean like Quake with mipmap and mipscale set to 3, which is very blurry. I'm hoping for a app like this.
