I wonder if OS 9.1 will have an updated sound manager to run the card? And I hope that games like Quake 3 and UT will be patched to run Open AL..I was told by a Creative Labs technician that framerate improvements of 20-30% are possible, if the Open AL is used properly.

This is great news for the mac platform. It's pretty funny, that Apple's few years of profits resulted in more games being ported to the mac, and in this sound card. But now that the sound card is here, Apple is once again bleeding money like a stuck pig. hehe, I wonder if Creative labs would have bothered if they knew Apple was going to flounder again...

I'll be buying the card, too. I just got a laugh out of all this stuff coming out for the mac that was planned back when Apple was doing well. I think Apple still has a bright future, this isn't an anti-Apple post or anything like that...
