Well, a quick check on the XLR8yourmac.com forums reveals that someone was able to make Medal of Honor: Allied Assault run on his Voodoo 2, and I was very curious to know if anyone has been able to get Warcraft III to run on their 3dfx graphics card. I myself am running a Voodoo 4 and get an error about OpenGL initialization running OpenGL 1.2.1.

Can anyone help? Does anyone have 3dfx cards any more?

I emailed Blizzard support the other day about this and they basicly said that WarCraft III will crash and burn on 3Dfx cards.

This is most unfortunate since Wintel users have been able to get Warcraft III to run on their 3dfx-enabled machines...

if you look on the WarCraft III box it says Voodoo cards are supported under Windows, but not the Mac. I don't know why this is so, but that's what they say.

I though it was a problem with my dual monitors... then I did some trickery and got it to display on my Voodoo 5 monitor.... only to freeze immediately.

Doh. We really got screwed over by 3dfx. I have a 64 meg graphics card with dual processors... and it can't do crap.

If you're reading this, please describe your trickery!
