Can someone else please try this....it is soo obvious on my system.
Run WC3 in OS 9 at any resolution and look at the difference between millions and thousands of colours....fairly noticable everything is much grainier in thousands. Then start up WC3 in OSX and look at the game at the same resolution.....when I check this in OSX it looks just as good in thousands of colours as it does in millions of colours under OS9.
I don't know how this is possible but it is very obvious on my system. Maybe this is partly why it seems to run faster under OS9? Maybe there isn't really a speed difference - as it runs as fast in OSX at thousands as it does in OS9 at millions and looks the same? Maybe its only noticable on a LCD?
