I have only just recieved some games for my mac. --4x4 EVO, Driver & Aliens v. Predators. I installed 4x4 EVO and it just didn't want to play, and kept giving me an "unsupported 3D" error. I called those folks and they said that thye never really did any sort of testing on laptops and that I probably should just take it back.

So does anyone know if Driver or AliensV.Predators will run correctly on a G4 Ti ?

What are some other games that will run on G4 Ti?
What all will go into getting a better video card---both expense wise and installation? Is it as easy as putting Ram in?

Thanks for any help

Well... Having played all those games on a 500 ibook, they all run pretty good, except for AvP, it seems, no matter what detail I put it at, would run poorly. People with 300mhz iMacs were playing it, but not iBook users. I gave up on it. Maybe it will work on yours though. 4X4 ran well after a few seconds of caching, and driver will work decently with the details down.

Your 400mhz titanium will be slower than my 500mhz iBook was, the G4 is just a G3 with altivec and few other changes, that is, unless you're photoshopping, but that's it. So expect a bit lower performance on yours.

Oh, and about that error, go to extensions manager, and make sure that you disable all the crap NVIDIA extensions, ALL of them. God knows why apple put them there, but they were there on the older TiBooks and everone had to disable them.

Hey,
the iBook 500 has poorer performance than the PowerBook 400, because the overall performance of the iBook is pretty bad - slow ram, a slow bus and on and on.

Anyway, all those games should actually work on your ti...

A 33mhz slower bus and ram doesn't come close to 100 mhz slower.

Please don't post threads in two forums.

It's pertinent to both forums, but you would do well to just post it in one area. I think it would apply more to the Mac Games forum.
