Can you try it out in emulation for me? a buddy has it and offered to give me a copy and I am wondering how it would run.

Good news and bad news:

Good news: It will apparently be available at MWSF with the 1.16f patch included.

Bad news: The editor will not be included but will be available as a free download soon after the game comes out.

Sorta bad news: the PC version still needs patching but the Mac version will get these updates too (just a little later, as always).

I'm going to buy it as soon as it is available, of course. If you want the best current info on the PC version and gameplay issues available, go here:

I hope that updates to the game come to Mac at the SAME time as Windows. I remember updating Civ CTP on my PIII. Dumb thing. I don't understand much of what goes on between updates, but I can fiddle with the Science requirements myslef.!

This is gonna be different thouhg. Hopefully a longer Modern Age and a longer Advanced Ages.

no shit. My buddy got it and proclaimed that he didn't like it much, ended up laying it until 6am that night I got my hands on it on new years, he he looked at my watch at 11:58 he he

Fun, different. I like how smooth the animation was (well, after he upgraded for 500Mhz K7 to a 1.5Ghz Athlon) one gripe is alot of the units (I only entered he second age) looked alike. I ended up running around with a worker instead of a warrior :o

I hope that a Mac-specific Civ III site pops up soon, but I haven't been able to find one yet. Anyone know anything about this?
