Does anyone know whether the performance gain of a WLL system will improve my internet gaming performance? I am presently on a dial-up connection receiving/sending @ 44-49kbps (56k). This new Swift Wireless system they say will give me 256k both directions. I just read on ZDnet that satellite internet systems(such as DirectPC) work poorly with games, but they didn't say anything about WLL systems regarding gaming.
Thanks

if its 256kb both directions, it'll be fast as hell. Go for it.

The reason that satellites suck so much butt is that it has a really fast download speed, but you still have to upload your information through a modem... so, its basically like playing on a modem.
