Could you give me your Q3 config on which you play Q3 on your powerbook on, as well as your timedemo FPS when you use it? I've like to run a few benchmarks on my new laptop, as well as try a config to play q3 on. (I get 90.4 fps on the timedemo on normal detail. It's really smooth, but it isn't enough for trick jumping.
If you could upload it to your itools, or maybe email it to me, I'd much appreciate it.

I suppose I could.
My PowerBook's configuration is quite basic with a few underlying tweaks. How much RAM does your new laptop have, and what is the graphics chipset?
My PC has a completely different configuration that reduces framerate for increased motion. It's quite weird, actually. Quake III allows you to move faster if you have exactly 125 frames per second all the time. Any higher or lower and you'll be slower.
I'm not sure of it at this moment, but I believe the Quake III engine is limited to 666 frames per second. Ping "master.idsoftware.com" and you'll be pinging "satan.idsoftware.com" instead. Scary, isn't it?
As soon as I get my Athlon XP 1800+ in my PC, I'll send you the configuration.
Drop me a message on either AIM or at my e-mail address.

When are you getting your Athlon XP? Oh, by limiting fps, you mean a FPS cap at 125?

Yes. I limit it at 125 frames per second.
My Athlon XP (1533 megahertz overclocked to 1667 megahertz) gets anywhere from 500-600 frames per second. I have screenshots.

600 fps? Whoah, that slaps around my 95 fps! If only your monitor could refresh at 600hz as opposed to 60-85hz .
