The bosses in this game were really hard, for me anyway, a lot of people thought the game was too easy. I'd offer you some help, but I'm afraid I resorted to GOD mode to finish him off.

how do you do god mode?

oh, to kill the hirogen, all you had to do is realize that he couldnt fire though the balcony, so you fired while he was moving, and hid under him while he fired.

Same as in Quake. Press the ~ key (upper left on the keyboard) to get the console, then type in god and hit return.

God mode? We ain't got no god mode. We don't need no stinkin' god mode.

I can tell you exactly how to do it. It's simple really, with no lame tricks involved. I killed him about five or six times before I got tired of his incessant rant.

Ask and you shall receive.

A wise man once told me:
" If you've got something to say, say it now. There may not be a tomorrow.

Besides, a lot of us can't wait until tomorrow to find out how to kill the bosses! "

i would have thought there would be some thinking involved with killing that thing. using god mode proved otherwise. guess i was just impatient, but now i can do it with out god mode... just takes a while.
thanks

1) In case you need it, know where the health is.

2) Move from side to side, using the whole room. lay down an accurate and sustained fire. The more you hit him, the less he will return fire.

3) If you need health, choose the right moment. He telegraphs when he will fire.

This is a similar ending to that in Q2, where you go up against the Makron. It gets you pumping from start to finish, but in light of the entire game, a bit anticlimatic.

Strafe from side to side about half way between the pillars and the boss and empty everythinmg you have into him. His shots are very linear so if you keep moving in a constant arc they will always miss you.

I tried this level over 25 times before defeating him pumping over 1650 shots into him and listening to his maddening taunts. Use the electric arc welder gun then when empty use photon bursts but watch out for the splash damage. Stick with it he will die eventually.

Its a bit of an anticlimax because all you get next is a cheesy cut scene with some canned laughter and you're left thinking "is that it ...?"

Anyone turn on "noclip" while in god mode and cruise around the Forge boss level, esp. outside the room?

There is a neat little surprises out there in space... first, that the Voyager bridge model is apparently 'docked' with the Forge ship and there is another Vorsath creature hanging outside there! The boss wasn't lying!

Hmmm.
