I'm surprised most people don't know about this, but if you like counter strike or first person shooters, there is a game that is in my opinion better than Counter strike and it runs in classic or OS X. It is called Urban Terror(UT for short). It is actually a mod for quake 3. And you don't have to pay for it. Just go download the mac quake 3 point release and the urban terror mod package and play. The game is wonderful, i've been playing non-stop for the past few days in OS X. The only bad thing about it is it is a resource hog. On my tibook 667 combo I can only get about 30-40 fps, but I have medium settings, if I turn it downto low settings it is better. I've read that people play it on their imacs with the low settings fine. The website is http://urbanterror.net and they have a mac forum there too. The game is great, so if you are pissed about CS not on mac, who cares, UT is nicer anyway. There are already even a few MAC OS X only clans!!!!!

It's not that great. Admittedly, it has a mean engine powering it (I love the Quake III engine more than any other engine to date), but it's still a weak game in terms of weapon and map selection. Not many people play it, too. Most of the people who played Urban Terror have moved to RtCW.

Nope. Challenge Promode Arena is the best Quake III mod ever made.
It combines Rocket Arena 3's gametypes with a plethora of anti-cheating countermeasures. It's definitely the best mod out right now. UT is a total conversion; it doesn't count.
