I'm having trouble with my iShock II. I'm using it with an iMac DVSE, 400 Mhz, 384 MB RAM. I'm running MacOS 9.1 with InputSprocket 1.7.3.

While playing a game, whatever character or unit I'm controlling will start to turn to the right. This doesn't occur when the game first starts, but will happen after I've been playing for as little as a minute or two or after I've been playing for as much as half an hour. Once it starts spinning, it doesn't stop unless I quit the application or unplug the iShock from the USB port. It doesn't occur when I use the keyboard or mouse.

The games I'm trying to use it with include STV:Elite Force or Pangea's Otto-Matic. It's quite annoying when this starts happening.

I first noticed it the very first day I tried to use it with STV:EF. I first thought it was an issue with that game, but when it started doing it with Otto-Matic, I began to suspect the iShock.

Is the iShock I have defective or is there a way to stop this from happening by adjusting some settings?

Thanks,
krb

Why are you using the iShock in a first-person shooter?

The mouse and keyboard are more effective for these kinds of games. The third-generation optical products from Logitech and Microsoft are quite impressive. Buy a Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical Special Edition.
