I really hope not.

There is actually no excuse for it not to have MP right of the box. In fact, there could have been MP binaries for OSX since Nov. 21st. Its not that difficult to compile maps, Graeme!

mmm... Lets not slag Greame the API's are a little young for OS X at least by most standards. He was having some MP problems but I expect the release version to have MP support.

RtCW will have multiplayer out of the box. Otherwise, it will never have multiplayer. The game's underlying application won't stand for a patch that enables multiplayer. Somehow, they'll figure it out.

Network play is one of the most important factors in a best-selling game these days. Id Software isn't a company to leave that out of its releases. Quake III is nothing without multiplayer; the single-player campaign was worthless.

Why wouldn't it have MP? Even the demo has MP (well, that's all there is).

Sorry I thought you meant MP support as in Multi Processor..
Doh....

Multi Player will be there from day one as the demo is MP only if i remember right.
