Im getting a G4/400 soon with a 2x AGP slot, I want to know:

Will the GeForce 3 work in it?
Is there another GeForce card with anti aliasing?
How fast will the GeForce 3 come down in price? I want to get it when its around $250.

Thanx

The Gforce3 willwork in your G4 but it won't be opi, ized so you won't get the top speed out of it. Seeing that now of them have shipped it will be some time now before the prices will drop. I am guessing when ATI comes out with one to stomp the Gf3. I wouln;t recomend getting the card unless you arlready have a system and are upgradeing from an old ati 128, and you will be buying a new dual 733 when they come out and put that card in that. Get the radeon its better if you are getting a rather new system. your 400 wont do squat for the GF3 it will be sitting in there waiting for things to render.

I was thinking that maybe the gf3 might run as good as a 32MB older card until I upgraded the processor and I'd have no problem with that. What do you mean by not optimized, will it run just slower, or not be able to do certain things?

I had a look at the Apple Store's specs on the GeForce3 upgrade, and it says that it's only compatible with the AGP4x Macs introduced in January 2001 -- might be worth doing a bit more spadework before you fork out the money for that card...
