Hi Everyone

One of my projects other than my day job and freelance design work, is heading up a small software company called Z-Team.

Z-Team develops games based on a variety of subjects, and our latest effort, should be a classic.

Monsters "Ate My City" is a 3D multiplayer arcade game where you control you're monster in a smash fest against other monsters on the island, any man made (and natural) obstacles in your way, as well as stomping on your average unsuspecting Joe.

As a huge Mac fan, I really want the game to be compatible with Mac OSX (possibly OS9 as well) and so we have a thread on the Monsters website which asks visitors to place there systems in a message.

This way we can see what kind of demand an OSX version would bring and if it would be viable to code a version of the game. I am confident that there would be alot of interest and would appreciate it if anyone who would like to see Monsters for OSX to head on over to the Monsters website at http://monsters.z-team.com/ and let us know!

Thanks for reading

James

I remember when Neo geo was out in the arcades and released a rampage like game with a robotic ape and robotic lizard. well is it like that?
if it's better than rampage and lets me spend a long time playing it
id definetly like a OS X version first.

Take my advice and don't move to Carbon/Cocoa/Java/English tea. Your game will have a nice classic feel to it from day one if you stick to antediluvian OS versions. If you released for X, think how many years you might have to wait before the game became outdated.

The game is a mixture of a 3D rampage with some cool strategic features, controllable Army players (eventually) , then throw some RTS and Quake influences in there, and that's more or less Monsters. The websites FAQ goes into the games elements in more detail though.

The game thus far has been programmed using open libraries such as Open GL. The reason I would like everyone who is interested to list there systems is to show the rest of the team that an OSX port is certainly wanted.

As we are making this game in our own time, I think the programmer does not want to waste his time coding an OSX version of the game only to find that no one will play it. This way we will get a rough idea of the Mac users wanting to play Monsters. And can assure a OSX version of the game.
