Are you refering to the scales puzzle? Where a crystal ball goes through a balanced gutter without smashing to pieces? Cause there are a lot of broken globes in there!
If that's the case, here's a hint: Remember the scales on J'nanin? 4 wooden balls equal 1 crystal? And 4 crystal equal 1 iron? Your units are there. That, and the toy where 3 figurines are hanging from a wooden pedestal... Principle of a displaced axis point (where 2 figurines are needed to balance one; like a 100 lb and a 200 lbs couple on a teeter-totter), your basic equilibrium principles is there.
There's one confusing aspect about that puzzle: the crystal part on the balancing ball (wood and crystal strapped in leather) is not 1/4, it's 1/8. What gives this off is Saavedro's journal.
