I just finished this 3rd party add on to Marathon: Infinity, and I highly recommend anybody who loves the Marathon series to get it. The levels are very complex, realistic, and amazing. Given the relative antiquity of the graphics engine, I was constantly amazed at the atmospheres and visuals they were able to pull off. They even made some very creepy jungles! The new weapons are cool too (I dig the 3 shot SSM and Maser). The new baddies also tend to be a little freaky because they're almost all various forms of very mean insects.

My only minor quibble with the game is that there was no epic final battle like in M2. Did anybody ever survive that battle anyway? I could never kill that last Juggernaut and survive his death blast. Anyway, that is just a minor quibble. If I had more time I would go through it again and try to experience the non-linearity of the game.

Get it now! http://www.marathonrubicon.com/downloads.html

Yup, Rubicon is the best game I've played this year. I'm afraid I haven't finished it yet; I am on Core Wars near the end of the Salinger track. Not stuck, but haven't had time to play some more.
The 4 o'clock train will be a bus.
It will depart at 20 minutes to 5.
