When downloading new maps for RtCW, Unstuffit decompresses the .pk3 file as a document. In this format, it isn't recognized by RtCW as a new map (i.e., as a readable file). What do I need to do to download and unstuff new maps in the proper file format in order to be able to add them to my collection of RtCW maps? FYI, I'm using IE for OS X to download the files. Thanks in advance!

Don't unstuff them, just save them as .pk3 and put them into the correct folder. I do that all the time with maps for urban terror. Uncheck the automatic unstuff button in IE as well.
hope that helps

Thanks for the advice; however, what about zipped files? I've been trying to download Trenchtoast, and it seems to come zipped when I download it. When I unzip it using Unstuffit, it seems to turn the .pk3 file into a document. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks again!

there should be an option that is for "Continue expanding" this is so if say you have a .sit of a .img, stuffid will un stuff it then mounth the images.
if the option is unckecked it will only do one thing then stop, and you have to then tell it to say mount the image.
Just use my example to apply it here...

Thanks for the help, everyone. I actually discovered that the "document" file works fine once it's placed in the /main folder for RtCW. I simply assumed that since it was identified differently from the other map files that it had been decoded improperly, but I was wrong. Everything's a go, and I'm busy downloading and trying out a variety of new maps. Thanks again!
