Just installed EV Nova. Great game as I thought. But it runs at 100% of processor cycles on my Powerbook G4 500. Is there anything I could do against this? This makes the game for me pretty unplayable...

Uh, normally, don't you want the game to take up 100% of your CPU?
In OS 9, games running in full screen mode usually take up 100% of the CPU. In OS X, since apps can't completely hog the CPU, the more CPU the game uses, the better. That equates to better performance.
Can you better describe the behavior that is happening? I've run EV Nova on a variety of computers in OS X, including a PowerBook G3 400, and it ran fine on all machines.

You mean it should reserve full processor power? My problem is that the powerbook get's pretty hot, the fan is almost always on when playing. Not even Unreal Tournament makes the fan come on that often (also under OS X). Same on the Pismo of a friend of mine. Anyone? I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!
