I'm befuddled.. At times playing RtCW 4-5 good Axis players can easily hold off 6-7 Allied players. I think I know most of the Allied tricks, but I just suck at being Axis.
For instance: How does one jump to the top of the seawall? I see players do it, but I can't manage.
I've also seen players exit the forward bunker and somehow get out of the trenches at the doorway. I can't do that either.
Swimming?
What about shooting the big guns mounted in the bunkers? When I try, they seem almost impossible to control, yet I've been sliced down as an Allied player on many occasions. Do you utilize the zoom feature to zoom in on the beach?
Anyone play using the keyboard only? Even with the scrollwheel, I find myself dead on many occasions because I changed to an ammo pack instead of a gun.
I feel bad every time I get switched by the game to the Axis side, cause I'm a liability, instead of an asset.

Well to jump the wall, you have to RUN (Shift when moving forward) toward the wall, and jump before you get to it. I still can't jump from the bunker. The -42's are hard to shoot unless you have a really good ping. Without it, don't bother with them. Don't switch weapons with the scrollwheel, use the 1-6 keys on the top of the keyboard. I think it defaults to
1=knife
2=pistol
3=machine gun (main weapon)
4=grenade
5=Special 1
6=Special 2
Once you get used to that system it works much better. When you use the sniper rifle, don't zoom unless you need to get a better shot at a certain person (I'd set the zoom to the scroll wheel if possible). Don't feel bad to practic as a axis, it's only a game. No one will (at least should) blame you. Don't let trash talkers discourage you with their 'newbie' cries either. Just say, 'we were all there once'

In addition to the 1-6 keys you should assign one key near your fingers(like if you use WASD controls, choose F) to switch to main gun. This'll help a lot when you're surprised. Jumping over things is just a matter of running.
Try other ranks also, there are too many Lt.s. We need soldiers and engineers.
Also remember hat it's not a one-man show. If you can kill 3 guys at the cost of your life, do so. It's all about the team winning.

Thanks for the tips. An Axis engineer is about worthless, unless you can manage to somehow diffuse a couple dynamites at the start? I enjoy playing an Allied engineer.

Actually, an Axis Engineer can be quite good at the start. with the right people to cover you, you can keep disarming dynamites for the netire 8 minutes. I've seen it done. You can also repair broken gun-stations and you'll have 8 grenades, how can you say no?

Yes, I have played engineer for the full 8min before with no breaches. (Of course the Allies sucked that round) but I find that the most useful Axis at the start are the solders with Panzers, Venoms (if you can handle them) and of course Snipers. You always need at least one leuitenent to start and the oft-overlooked Medic (which I usually end up playing).

what about jumping the wall from the Beach as an Allies?? I've too seen it done may a time, what's the secret. Do you need multiple foot-ups? Or just a full-on running jump coming down the hill on the right?
Love the Demo none the less, even with the full game i love blasting onto the beach map.

Another suggestion for the guy wanting to be a good Axis player is to medic, if there are no medics. And definitely go to the warroom, or at least the basement, once the sea wall has been broken through.

Yep, it seems no one is used to a having a medic during the breach part of the sequence, they click out really quickly after being killed. So make sure to do (v+6) "I'm a ***** (in this case MEDIC)".
Have fun

That|s it. One guy has to crouch, another has to jump on him and the guy at the bottom has to then stand for theother guy to jump the wall. As for medics, they are great. I often play as medic, I love the rank. Problem is that there are exactly enough medics in the world as it is. We're not too few, not too many.
As for the war-room-thing, don|t go in there right away. Hold off Allies for as long as you can, then when they get the docs, every routined team should split and make a run down seperate stairs. Chance is that there are NOT 5 healthy Allies in the basement, so it should be fine.
And if you get killed in WR, get back down fast! That's your #1 objective then.
