I don't know if anyone's posted about these before but they're really cool sourceforge projects with Mac OSX binaries available:

Exult (Emulates Ultima 7 The Black Gate, Forge of Virtue, Serpent Isle and Silver Seed)
ScummVM (Emulates almost all those 2D LucasArts adventure games some nearly perfectly and some not so well yet -- check the compatibility list)

Remember with both of these you'll need copies of the original games for the emulators to pull game data from.

ScummVM 0.2.0 is *not* ready for public consumption yet though. At the moment, it's command line driven and you need to install SDKs to simply get it to run.

I can't for the life of me figure how to run Full Throttle or Day of the Tentacle simply because the Mac version of these two games have a completely different data file than the PC version and ScummVM looks for the PC files...not the Mac file. If anyone can tell me how to get these two games to run (even though I know they're not fully supported yet), I'd appreciate it.

I think you need the PC data files though maybe there's some way with the Mac ones? I ended up buying the LucasArts Superpack (Sam & Max, DOTT, Full Throttle) and The Dig for 4$ w/ shipping a little while back off e-bay. You can get all the old stuff for a song there.

Also for the Ultima 7: The Black Gate/Forge of Virtue/Serpent Isle/Silver Seed data files for exult I used the Ultima Collection that came with the Dragon Edition of U9 but you can find lots of copies of that same collection on ebay for around 8$ (it includes all the Ultima games up to U8 most of which run under VPC -- you of course use exult for the ones mentioned above).
