When are they going to pull their heads out and give us a decent first-person shooter game?
I like tournament killing just as much as the next guy, but a plot would be nice once in a while (sarcasm-on); and I'd absolutely love to have a good Star Wars plot a-la Dark Forces (which was awesome for it's time).
They Snubbed us for Jedi Knight, Episode I, and they are going to do it again with Obi-Wan!
I thought Lucas had this great relationship with Apple. What gives?
Pod Racer is cool; but for me, racing games get boring real fast! And real-fast racing games...nevermind ;-)
PC sheep get all the breaks...but I will NEVER turn to the Dark Side.

They left the Mac a few years ago when things weren't looking so good. On the one hand you can't really blame them, but on the other hand they didn't do a very good job at marketing. Maybe the licensing of Escape from Monkey Island is a sign of better things to come.
Personally, I would have liked to have had Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

If Lucas Arts "hates the mac" so much, why are they releasing the newest Monkey Island?

I wouldn't say that LucasArts "hates the Mac". They just thought that they'd be able to turn a small profit with the iMac crowd with Racer and it didn't happen. Anyway, I think it's a great sign for Mac users that LucasArts has allowed Aspyr to publish Monkey Island for the Mac. Aspyr has proven with some of the biggest names in publishing, including Eidos Interactive and Electronic Arts, that they can take their most-trusted franchises and successfully market those games to Mac users. With the original publishers themselves being forced to give much more attention to their PC (and console) marketing (simply from a business standpoint), this is a great situation for everyone involved and it should be seen as a step in the right direction as opposed to seeing a large publisher dumping their titles for someone else to handle. I think this model is really the emerging standard, and Aspyr can be credited for pioneering it and showing the rest of the world that it can not only be great for users but excellent for everyone's bottom line.

It is a shame though that LucasArts dove full force into the Mac market with Full Throttle/The Dig/Dark Forces/etc in 96-97 and then retracted just as Apple started to turn around and make a profit again (of course if Aspyr works its magic with EMI like they've done with Eidos and EA ... good times). Monkey 3 or Grim Fandango would make great iMac bundle games, imho. Sort of like how MDK was bundled with iMacs, but I'd think they'd appeal to a broader audience (younger and older at least). Maybe it's just because I like LucasArts games too much.

I am a huge Star Wars fan and would love some more games for the mac but I recently played Jedi Power Battles on a Playstation and I have to say that the game sucked a$$ everything from the concept to the controls blew, it made me sad.

Personally, i would have liked to see better implementations of Rebel Assault I/II for the mac, i have both parts for the PC, and had them for the Mac, the PS versions video and sound was so much superior to that of the mac.
I think Lucasarts should release Curse ofmonke island and Escape from Monkey island on for the mac day and date with the PC version.

Lucas Arts hasn't made (or at least sold) mac programs due to past sales. LucasArts doesn't hate macs... primarially b/c their boss, George Lucas. It's clearely evident that Lucas doesn't hate the mac. Star Wars Episode I (Although never fully admitted due to contract with Silicon Grapics.) was edited and 3D objects was made on the Mac (Yeah pretty scarry to think Jar Jar was desigened and rendered on a Mac). Episode II will be done the same, excuding the contract with SGI, instead one with Apple. Episode II was also annouced the 3D designed using Maya for MacOS X. In addition the Star Wars Episode I trailer was in QuickTime only. Currently the behinds the scenes of Episode II is in QuickTime only, and it's been announced the Episode II will be done the same.
So in short LucasFilm, THX, and Skywalker sound have been widlely using mac. As far LucasArts... maybe they're just waiting for the GM OS X.
