I have a G3 DVD B&W Mac with ATI Rage preinstalled.
I like games a lot, and I am planing to buy a new graphic card.
The question is: wich one of those ones to buy?
I Know that with voodoo cant watch DVD in my mac (by the way I dont watch a lots DVD films ).
And as a graphic designer I want to know wich is better and faster for 2D (photoshop, freehand...)
And for games? I hope that for games, the Voodoo rocks.
So, wich to buy???
Can you help me, please?

Does it help to know that ATi doesn't have a PCI version of their Radeon available yet? The fact that you can't buy one should make your decision a lot easier. Not sure about when ATi will have a PCI Radeon, mind you. But right now, if you were to go buy immediately, the V4 would be your only choice.
And far's I can tell, the Radeon will blow the V4 away in gaming ability. It already blows the V5 away.

I just bought Voodoo4 and I don't notice the difference over the stock ATI Rage 128. Maybe if I wanted it for a 2nd monitor, but on my Apple LCD - extra 16MB might help a little on scans and such but I didn't want to wait. Wait. Get the Radeon. I'm tempted to sell or trade this number. I'd like to try it on a DVI LCD rather than the ADB Apple, but that's it.

A Voodoo 4 is useless...
The only choice is between a Voodoo 5 and a Radeon. The Voodoo 5 has no DVD support and no s-video out. The Radeon does not currently support FSAA in the drivers, the card supports it.
My personal opinion is that the Voodoo 5 is out-dated, it uses 2 VSA-100 chips to do what 1 radeon chip can do. My preference is the ATI Radeon.
