I'm considering attending one of the Apple-sponsored WebObjects Developer Workshops ($2,500). Any experience with how useful these are? Can anyone suggest any other sources for training? Finally, how crucial is it that I know Java (can I teach myself enough to get by)?

TIA,

Clark

I think that your only options for WO training are through these workshops or with some other Apple sponsored seminar. I tried using WO last year for a while and had to give up because of the lack of documentation. Sure it was cool and it had the potential to speed up workflow, but it never achieved that potential because of the extremely poor state of affairs on the doc front. It may have changed since then, but somehow I doubt it.

Everyone who I have talked to has raved about the workshops. I also got to speak with a couple of the instructors, and they are really good.

I managed to stumble though learning WO on my own, but would much rather have gone through the sessions.

Thanks. That's the kind of feedback I was looking for.
