I was wondering if anyone had some documentation that I could use as a teaching aid for PHP. At my school I teach pupils in their spare time how to make webpages and I have decided this year to move on to PHP with those I have taught HTML. The documentation really needs to be readable and a also needs to be in such a way that it can be used as a reference for them as well.(please bear in mind that these are 11/12 year old I are talking about here so nothing too heavy). This documentation would be preferably free because this is an extra caricular activity the school gives us money grudgingly and I personally can't afford 20 O'Reilly "CorePHPs".

This would be a great help and I thank those who reply in advance!!

well this isn't really a textbook, and I dunno how long this would last, but you should check out webmonkey. They have a few pretty good tutorials. Here is the one on PHP:

hope this helps!

It's a bit hard for me to judge what level they'll understand, but there's a start and good links on http://www.php.net/tut.php
If you need any other tool than BBedit (then again, who would ;-)), you could check out http://www.seejanecode.com/ - have just tried it, and it looks ok.
Good luck!
