Hello all,
We're developing a site and there seems to be problems with Internet Explorer 5.x running on OS X. We have an HTML select box (drop-down) that looks like this...
Choose an option
Choice 1
Choice 2
Choice 3
Or Another option
Choice 1a
Choice 2a
Choice 3a
With OS X you see the drop down looking like this...
Choose an option
Or Another option
If you "blindly" select one of the "invisible" choices, you can actually see the text... All the links that are underneath them work fine. You just can't see the choices! This works fine in every other browser in OS 9, but in OS X it doesn't like it! I've tried using both " " and " " (as well as plain-old spaces) to put in the spaces but nothing works with IE 5.x on OS X...
Anyone have any ideas or have seen this? Very strange stuff indeed!
Thanks for your help,
Mike

I have, unfortunately, experienced the same problems. I had to solve it by redesigning a bit and set it up much like on webmonkey
Good luck!
Peter

Well, & n b s p ; but I knew what you're talking about!
Also, I've tried using & # 0 3 2 ; and that doesn't work as well (in IE 5 for OS X that is)...
We are temporarily doing something like what is below.. It works for now but the ideal solution is putting in the spaces or indentations for each entry...
example:
Main Heading
- SubHeading1
- SubHeading2
- SubHeading3
Second Heading
- SubHeadingA
- SubHeadingB
- SubHeadingC
Thanks for you're help and ideas so far though! If you have any more, please let me know!
