I'm using Panic's Transmit FTP app, and I have a cgi script that I need to change permission settings on. The script instructions say to change it to "755", and another file to "777."

I have the options of "Read, Write, Execute" in Transmit, but have no idea how these numbers correlate to these options.

Is there a list somewhere of permission codes? There's no mention of this in the Transmit help doc.

at teh command prompt type
man chmod
that'll get you the info you need to know.
