I reported a problem with a website where jave buttons were not appearing in Explorer under OSX

This is the reply I got.

Hi there, thanks for the tip regarding the website. I haven't updated the site for around a year and whilst that seems a poor effort, I simply haven't found the time. I plan to completely rebuild the site over the Christmas break.
Microsoft has ceased to support JAVA in it's latest browsers in favour of it's own new standard.
I suspect that the new OSX version may already have the JAVA plugin disabled or not included.
The navigation buttons on my site are all JAVA.
Thanks again.

I wanted to reply that I find it hard to believe and that it is more likely to be that the script is just not recognised.

I just want to check if I am missing something
