hi everyone...

anyway to view pages offline without connecting to the internet using http://localhost?
doing some php scripts and would like to test it out in my local machine before tranferring to the server.

i've tried turning on and off web sharing, and also start and stopping apache through the terminal but still can't connect by typing http://localhost in the browser to see that default apache page.....

what am i doing wrong here? is it something to do with the network settings?

try:
http://127.0.0.1/`(your user name)/

example: http://127.0.0.1/~reader50/

If you want to see the other Apache default page, skip the tilde and user name: http://127.0.0.1/

you should always have your proxy bypass 127.0.0.1
No new location needed!
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.
