I have a few quicktime videos on my site. When the quicktime viewer window is opened up it is mostly a white screen with the viewer box in the center. I would like to add text and graphics to thepage where the video is viewed. Can this be done in Dreamweaver? I linked the .mov files to text on the webpage, should I create a separate page for the videos to be displayed on and work within that page? When I click on the .mov files in the manager a message pops up that .mov is an unrecognizable extention. I am using Dreamweaver 2. Thanks for any help. I am very new at this so if anything I am saying makes no sense that may be why.

You should go to www.macromedia.com and then click on Dreamweaver, and then go to the Extensions part of the Dreamweaver section. Search for an Extension using the word "quicktime." An Extension should show up that you can download and install into Dreamweaver that will give you more control over Quicktime movies (only of you embed them into the page.)

I just found out that the Extension I was talking about is only for Dreamweaver 3 or 4. Sorry.

Adding text and images to a page with a quicktime movie is easy. Simply use a table. Place the quicktime movie in one cell and then place the pictures and text in any other cells you need to create.

If you're trying to control the quicktime through text on the page then you'll need to look at another solution.

Post if you need more help.

Ok - I re-read your post and i think understand your question. You have linked to the .mov files from one page within your site and would like to decorate around the movie once launched from that link ? Ok - Yes you do need to creat another page with the quicktime movie. Use a table as i mentioned above. Then link to that page rather than directly to the .mov file.

Ok - I hope that helps.
