I am evaluating development environments in our Windows 2000 shop (sigh--I'm a Mac user at home). WebObjects for Windows 2K looks totally hot. Imagine my disappointment when I called Apple and found out that they do not have a process for sending evaluation copies to businesses (in my case, a State Government Agency).
In short, I'm out of luck. Our agency will *not* pay to evaluate software, and considering that *all* of the other major development environments (with the exception of you-know-who in Redmond) allow *free* downloads for evaluation, I am sorely disappointed.
There's no way we're gonna get WebObjects in the door this way. I called Apple directly and they x'fered me to Customer Relations. That's when I got the bad news. Did I go about this the wrong way?
Thanks
